Generating a discharge curve for the measurement profile below the dam Burgkhammer The dam Burgkhammer is part of the Saale cascades and forms the barrier of the lower reservoir of the Pumped Storage Power Station Bleiloch. The dam was extensively renovated between 1993 and 1998. Thereby changed the discharge cross section due to dewatering measures. The aim of the model test was to determine the correct discharge curve Q = f (h) for the measured cross section (level measuring point), taking into account the different outlet facilities (weir gates, bottom outlet and siphon). In a detailed model the performance of a fish-belly gate was investigated. There was a need of research on the dam pillars and the influence of their niches on the calculated capacity of each weir field.
